Really! I did!!!!
Then the light shifted and it was just a guy with two spotlights behind his head... But dammit, there for a moment he looked JUST like Mickey Mouse.
Anyways....
Work is work, I've been kinda busy here lately and my 90 day review is coming up soon (wow, time is going by so fast, it's been over 3 months since I left Kwajalein). So, with time going by so quickly, that means my vacation with Sarah is coming up quickly too!!!! 39 Days and counting to be precise, actually I'll leave Kandahar a little sooner than that.
I've heard my brother got in a motorcycle accident, I'm just happy he had my helmets and was able to come out of it "not too badly." Couple of things broke, but he's still got his face and is still alive, so there you go. Everyone will drop their bike at least one time when they first start riding (it's his first bike), that's just how things go.... You are nervous at first, then you become almost cocky and loose your respect for the machine, then all it takes is once and you've got that respect back.... just glad his "once" wasn't his "once and only once."
Heard from Benjamin lately, he's been busy, but well....
And beyond that, not much else is going on, just counting down the days till I see my beautiful girl again. Anyways, best of luck and best wishes to all....
Goodnight.

Clean My Wounds
Okay, the title may get people worrying, but it's just the title of a song I'm listening to right now... I really enjoy the song.
Anyways... 46 Days!!! (okay, here in about 30 minutes it'll be 45 days) till I get to see Sarah. We're both very ecstatic about it and can't wait!
Work's been fairly busy here recently. I just had a trip up to Bagram for a class and a few other things, it was uneventful and the instructor told me and Jason that we could leave if we wanted (....we were far more advanced than the other students in the class) but we didn't have anything else to do so we just hung out anyways. So, yet another class and certification under my belt. Yay. Now all I have to do is convert that into a pay raise.... i've gotta work on that.
I've finally got my Vonage phone working here in my room, it's nice to actually be able to call Sarah without having to go all the way into work (yeah, she's worth me walking into work just to talk to her). Plus it helps because sometimes you can't have certain conversations on topics at work (gotta be professional) and it makes it easier because we're more free to talk to one another now. Only thing is (baby, take note of this), is being called at 1AM. I personally have no problem with it... The roomies on the other hand, yeah....
But speaking of roomies... We're currently down one. I've still got my name in on the list to move up to the compound though... And speaking of which, there's supposed to be some construction going on, we're going to be moved out of tents and actually into a hard structure, which will be nice..... individual private rooms, a wash room w/ machines, restroom and shower facilities, and even a small conference room....
Now the only thing I worry bout is that since the base is moving more and more to NATO and we support fewer US folks, if they won't get this building put together then we get kicked out of the area.... So we'll have to wait and see how that goes.
Beyond that, not much else is going on besides me counting down the days till July. :)
And it's getting late so I'll sign off for now....

New Comings
Well, just the other day I received my paper tickets for my flights in July! Huah!
Not much else is going on out here. Work's been keeping me busy lately as I've taken on several projects to get things "back in order" since the basic PM's of the equipment I am now working on have been slack to say the least... Time to play catch up.
I did just notice that Linkin Park has a new CD coming out on the 15th! Yeah, that just went on Pre-Order. :)
The Housing situation here is becoming interesting. We had a US Soldier move in with us (Me and Jason) two days ago... He's obnoxious and has already become unwelcome in our room, but hey, what can we do..... Well, what I can do is move. I've been looking at moving down to the compound into one of the rooms there. It'll provide me a little bit more privacy (and hey who can't use a little more privacy?!) but would be living in a tent. The tents however are sectioned off into private rooms, which is more than I can say about the room I'm in now. Oh, the thing w/ the soldier... there's TONS of empty rooms around, yet they put him in our room (that is set up just for ITT DSST members) when we were supposed to be having one of our new guys move in.... So my management isn't super happy about it all at the moment.
The Internet has been quite flaky here lately. Myself and Charles (we call him KFC) went to the provider and kinda bitched at them. We're paying for a non-functional service, they understood and admitted there had been some problems lately, but mainly with equipment on their side. Hey, at least they owned up to it (of course we didn't give them much choice, we're geeks, we know what the hell we're talking about).
So... 64 days till I get to see Sarah. :) Sure am looking forward to it.
Anyways, off to get ready for work. Ciao.
